About Tennessee State University SMART Innovation Technology Center
The Tennessee State University Smart Innovation Technology Center (TSU SMART Center) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to promoting digital literacies, inspiring SMART connected innovations, and providing education technology skills across the spectrum of education (Kindergarden -Life Long Learning) and all disciplines, in preparation for the digital workforce and communities.
The TSU SMART Center offers a variety of programs and services to support the educational, professional, and personal development of students, faculty, staff, and community members. These programs and services include:
• Interactive video courses: Live instruction delivered to enrolled students on-ground and at remote sites, in addition to individual desktops via Voice-Over-IP (VOIP).
• Online courses: A variety of courses offered on the undergrad, graduate, and doctoral levels that can be completed at the student’s own pace.
• Distance learning programs: A variety of programs that allow students to earn a degree without having to attend classes on campus.
• Technology training: A variety of courses and workshops on the use of technology for teaching, learning, and research.
• Coworking space: A shared workspace for students, faculty, and staff to collaborate on projects using state of the art equipment.
